The Philippines is getting higher rates of cervical cancer. And how timely is the Cervical Cancer Prevention Seminar which I first attened a few years ago.
Cervical Cancer is the second most common cancer afflicting women in the Philippines; next to breast cancer. Worldwide, about 500,000 new cases and 250,000 deaths are reported each year. Over 80% of these occur in developing countries including the Philippines. But the good news is that the disease is treatable if diagnosed early.
